A deal for the space summit

Article Abstract:

The US-sponsored state summit to be held in Dec. 1996 brings to public attention two issues, namely, policies on the possibility of life on Mars and the NASA budget. The latter has significantly decreased because of the perception that the public is disappointed over its space exploits.

Hale-Bopp and environmental control

Article Abstract:

The passing of Hale-Bopp comet reminds, once again, that there is a possibility that the earth may be hit by a massive heavenly object. Elimination of the human race and most multicellular species may happen if humanity's environment, the solar system, will not be controlled.

America and the moon: then & now

Article Abstract:

It is not only proper that the story of Apollo's lunar expedition be retold but also the reasons why the project, which was funded by US taxpayers, was ended. Among these reasons are the opposition from US scientists and Nobel Prize winners and criticisms from the media.
