Jerry Fels, California atelier Artisan House's longtime design director and president, is the 'real' Curtis Jere, the elusive but influential metal artist. Renewed interest is being shown in Curtis Jere's handcrafted wall and table sculptures, lamps and table bases which capture the mood of California making the works among the most collectible mid-century decorative pieces presently.

A replica of Bamboo Basket Chair created by Japanese American artist and designer Isamu Noguchi and Japanese industrial designer Isamu Kenmochi as well as many other objects, and drawings by the two designers are exhibited at the Noguchi Museum in Long Island City, New York up to 16 March 2008.

A report on a memorial dedicated to Franklin Roosevelt designed by renowned architect Louis I. Kahn, the construction of which was commissioned but shut down due to New York's fiscal crisis in 1975, is presented.
