According to Sean Curran, Bill T. Jones has a very inventive, deeply personal, and unique way of moving, because he didn't come up through the sort of modern dance training sought by many African-American dancers. He feels that trying to do Bill's work was a part of a great challenge and states that imitating Bill's movement is a difficult task.
