The article describes the work and life of Janet Reed a renowned dancer, the choreographers she performed with and her ballet dancing that portrayed her comic and musical personality. After the Swan Lake recitals Janet was getting bored of dancing the same dance again and again and she felt that she was left with hardly any opportunity to perform.

Uday Shankar: the early years, 1900-1938

Article Abstract:

Renowned dancer Uday Shankar, who progressed to become an artist and public figure, had a career that spanned six decades along with his achievements and awards are presented. Shankar was liked by his team as he conducted rehearsals with resolution and purpose and at all times he had an attitude of professionalism and his execution was perfect.

Letters from London: Guimard's farewell to the stage

Article Abstract:

Marie-Madeline Guimard resigned from the ballet stage at the outbreak of the French Revolution. Her retirement took place in London, a city which had long attracted leading French dancers because they could earn much higher fees there than at home. Some critics and some in the audience felt that Guimard kept dancing too long past her prime.
