Ann Cooper Albright plans to write a book on Loie Fuller, who is one of the most interesting and paradoxical figures in modern dance. The book includes the story of an intellectual approach to the past that not only recognizes the corporeal effects of the historian's vantage point, but also mobilizes her body within the process of research and writing.

Ashton at the Center

Article Abstract:

Lincoln Center Festival paid homage to Sir Frederick Ashton at the Metropolitan Opera House for the one hundredth anniversary of his birth. The Ashton festival showed not only the English heritage that is Ashton, but also that, with proper coaching an international array of dancers can do his ballets.
