A study of the relationships between teacher behaviors and student performance on a spatial kinesthetic awareness test

Article Abstract:

Dance teacher behaviors can be analyzed with a spatial kinesthetic awareness test. The Physical Education Teacher Assessment Instrument (PETAI) was used to classify teaching styles. Results of this research show teachers displayed differing PETAI profiles, but that student improvement of spatial awareness depends largely on response presentation and motivation feedback.
