Article Abstract:

A school teacher reached burnout while working with inner city children. She got a job as health consultant at a hotel but had to write her own manual. This project expanded into two books published by Simon and Schuster and a third is on the way. Enthusiasm and perseverance were her major aids.

Article Abstract:

A learning disabled adult recounts how, after her problem was diagnosis as an adult, she was able to moved from social isolation as a 'dummy,'to college and the founding of a self-help group, Puzzle People. Even an IQ of 140 did not keep her from a childhood as an outsider.

Article Abstract:

A woman in her thirties whose heart was damaged as a result of a virus ended up needing a transplant. She endured a great deal of illness before and after the transplant, but her body eventually accepted the new heart. Her marriage and faith in God helped her.
