Nicole Bobek is the 1995 Ladies Figure Skating Champion and may go on to compete in the 1998 Olympics. She was raised and encouraged to excel by a single mother who received no support from Nicole's father. Problems and successes they have had are discussed.

Parent Gayla Benefield describes her legal fight against mining company W.R. Grace Co. which caused the death of her mother. A number of her family living in Libby Montana developed asbestosis from polluted dust spread from the mine.
