Woodstock was chartered in 1761. Local lore states that the town took its name from Woodstock, CT, which in turn took its name from Woodstock, England. A brief history of the town accompanies photographs of historic buildings.

Dana House

Woodstock Inn

The present Woodstock Inn & Resort was built in 1969 on a site occupied by hostelries since 1793. A brief history of the inns on the site is accompanied by photographs of the current Woodstock Inn.
