Article Abstract:

The exhibit during the book launching of interior designer Beverly Russell's 'Women of Design' showcased the works of women who have enhanced the interior design profession. The featured designers explored various themes and interpreted their design concepts into forms and textures. Presentations included depictions of peace and order, the psychological aspects of design and the development of design solutions. The exhibit will be held in New York, NY, until Nov 21, 1992 and will transfer to the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, in Jan 1993.

Report: inside Barcelona

Article Abstract:

The 2nd Mostra International de Disenny (MID) trade show was held in Barcelona in Apr 1992 to showcase the newest contract and residential furnishings and accessories created by Spain's designers. Among the more interesting MID entries were the Aguador sink by bathroom fixtures manufacturer Bedre and the Blanca chairs by Architect Oscar Tusqueta. The exhibit was held at the Pabellon Mies van der Rohe in the Montjuic area.

Update: solution-dyed nylon

Article Abstract:

Fiber producer BASF AG introduced solution-dyed fiber technology in the 1976 and has since updated thetechnology carpets are made from solution-dyed nylon.
