Article Abstract:
A hundred-year old brick warehouse along the Cumberland River in Nashville, TN, was redesigned by Tuck Hinton Architects to house the Turner family as well as an office and a retail store on the ground level. Hinton integrated the historic ambience of the warehouse's city side facade with modern forms and materials at the side facing the river. The second and third levels which are the private residences echo the past/present blend, through boxy forms and modern warehouse materials such as cables, steel grating and corrugated siding.

Article Abstract:
Sarasota, FL-based Donald J. Stanzione Assoc. designed the interiors for the clubhouse of Sandhill Cove, a luxurious 36-acre retirement facility located in Stuart, FL. The clubhouse has a distinctively tropical theme, in large part due to the vegetation which figures prominently in the building's main entrance. The facility's cozier areas boast a relaxed charm which belies their strict compliance with the needs of elderly residents.
