The Good Diner features a straightforward design that does not make use of overt elements or gimmickry. The diner combines both graphic and interior design to create an atmosphere that would appeal to many people, from simple folk to the dressy NewYork night crowd. The basic elements which comprise the total atmosphere include banquettes in different colors, office-style aluminum chairs, custom-designed light fixtures shaped like coffee cups and coin-like stainless steel disks embedded on the floor.

Savva Mamontier established the Metropol Hotel in Moscow before the Russian Revolution. He acquired land opposite the Bolshoi theatre, and on deciding to build a hotel, he selected the design by holding an international design competition in 1899. After the Bolsheviks took over the country, the hotel degenerated due to neglect and was closed in 1986. Mospreckt 2 initiated the renovation of dilapidated public sites, and the Metropol regained its beauty while the old world aura was preserved.

The interior design of the Hotel Camino Real in San Jose, Costa Rica, utilized local materials and decorations inspired by the plants and animals of the nation's rain forest. The design team of Wilson and Assoc. provided a unique design to the 274-room international business hotel by integrating American furnishings with local artworks. The design also required relocating public spaces to the building perimeters while shifting meeting rooms to the interior.
