Animating with light

Article Abstract:

Chop Suey Looey's Litchi Lounge features custom lighting fixtures that enhance the new restaurant's Chinese garden theme. The lighting fixture design resulted from the joint efforts of designer Sam Lopata and owner Eddie Schoenfield and includes an innovative revolving internal sphere which produces an interplay of light across the lamp's paper shade. The Chinese lanterns serve to offset the dominantly red interior and creates an animated atmosphere without detracting from the overall restaurant design.
