Randy Brown Architect has designed and converted an old 1970s preschool building into a combined studio and residence for the architect and his wife Kim. Brown says that the building will never be finished since there will always be new additions and changes to the project which is regarded as an educational model both for clients and Brown's staff. The studio's transparency is apparent with floor joists, unfinished and exposed lumber and steel plates and cables surrounding the spaces intended as library, dining, conference and sleeping quarters.
