Richwood hall: an elegant restoration

Article Abstract:

Richwood hall, named after its rich surrounding forestry, is one of the eight houses that was established by the Washington family in the 18th and 19th centuries. Annette Murphy bought and renovated the house, paid delicate attention to its interiors and lighting and restored its antique beauty.

Harewood: a Washington family home, now and then

Article Abstract:

The Harewood Estate, built in the 1770s, served as a home to several generations of Samuel Washington. It was a parcel of the Shenandoah property that was divided among the four sons of George Washington. The house was renovated by present owners Dr. John A. Washington and wife Margaret.
