The main purpose of redesigning the newspaper, The Day, was to introduce new contents, update the paper's design and change the nameplate. The Day, an independent paper of Connecticut, has a sailing ship in its nameplate in memory of the life in New London.

The main features in the new design of El Diario of Entre Rios are the typographic changes and a better navigation of contents. The major reason for the redesign was to satisfy the needs of the new readers and attract the new generation.

The logo of the Chicago Sun-Times has been redesigned after a long time. The changing of the logo of a major U.S. daily was a humbling experience besides being very inspiring and liberating.
