On falling off a treadmill

Article Abstract:

Those who apply for membership in a health club are treated to a gamut of manmade machines and exercisers. These equipment are alright for some people but for other people who happen to do things that should not be done such as in a treadmill, it is an experience that will compel you to go back to the natural way of exercising and jogging even with the presence of encumbrances, namely, uneven terrain, jagged rocks, big wild geese. It will also make you realize that some things are better left unchanged and unspoiled by man's creativity.

Airport '96

Article Abstract:

Traveling has become a routine way of life for most people due to job demands and travel's growing conveniences. However, this has given rise to the commercialization of aviation. To bring back romance into traveling, interior designers must work at making airports appear to be more than mere people-processors. The newly-designed international airports of Miami, FL, Chicago, IL, and Denver, CO, should serve as examples to airport authorities that a travel experience should go beyond safety toward comfort and luxury.

Context is everything

Article Abstract:

People judge architectural structures based on context or pre-existing notions or mental images of what these are supposed to look like. Hotels during the 1930s, for instance, had New York-themed spaces based on people's ideas of New York gained from television. However, architectural critic Ada Louise Huxtable argues that the practice of replacing reality with selective fantasy makes it difficult to appreciate new architecture and undermines the creativity of architects.
