New interiors in peculiar places

Article Abstract:

Interior designers should consider transforming unused space into offices to meet the needs of employees who have begun to leave the traditional office buildings and are working at home. Companies have begun to streamline their staff, leaving more office space unoccupied. This space can be converted into other uses, such as shelters for the homeless. Small-business owners will also have a need for spaces that will accommodate the clutter involved in manufacturing but would not require very large spaces.
