Retail design firm Pavlik Design Team has shifted its focus to yacht interiors after principal Seann Pavlik noted the lack of appeal of the interiors of some boats. He decided to channel the company's resources, including its designers, model makers and computer-aided design specialists, to this new specialization. Since then, the firm has been commissioned for about a dozen projects, including the interiors of 104-ft Crescent Beach, the Lady Jean, and a 147-ft Sterling, called Lady Pita.

Individuals are often reluctant to have their dwellings remodelled because of their territorial nature. Aside from cost considerations and tedious labor work, most home improvement efforts are undermined by inefficient contractors and long, drawn-out periods. Most people regard home as an outlet for self-expression and a place for seeking refuge. In order to alleviate the reluctance on improvement works, designers must provide adequate information about the entire remodelling process.
