Article Abstract:

CCI's editorial products NewsDesk and Layout Champ is embraced, particularly at the senior management level because of their ability to warehouse and move large amounts of information across multiple platforms including the website. Most designers are of the opinion that CCI is high on efficiency but low on ease of use and there are still many shortcomings in the system, which are being worked out so that a complete newspaper can be produced with ease and the required designs with only CCI.

A face lift for Franklin Gothic

Article Abstract:

The ITC Franklin the classic newspaper font is expected to grow to 72 fonts, the first set of 32 display faces will be available in 2005. The Font Bureau will offer text and agate weights, a suite of alternate characters, simpler access to tabular figures and other features will be included in the Open Type collection.
