Article Abstract:
Duma, Sweden, packaging firm, introduced the Duma SP system, the most up-to-date tamper-evident containers in Europe in December 1991. Its body and lid are moulded in a single piece and cannot be unlawfully opened without considerable damage. Whilst some consider the product unaffordable, it does need serious consideration, and there could be cost savings since production speeds can be improved. Only one production line is needed and there is no handling by people. Product is discussed within the context of children dying from accidental poisoning, and saboteurs tampering with products.

Article Abstract:
The red cross universally symbolises refuge on the battlefield, stimulating positive responses of life and hope rather than death and despair. The graphic red cross symbol is a crucial representation of the International Committee of the Red Cross. The symbol has been respected by governments for 125 years. The symbol of the red crescent was adopted by Muslim states who believed the red cross to be a Christian symbol, with the two symbols now belonging to a single aid movement.

Article Abstract:
Hans Dieter Reichert, Robin Richmond and Fendley, partners of Union design consultancy, believe that consultancies should take a harsher more critical approach when dealing with their clients. They should be more insistent in doing a project their own way. This attitude is a result of the difficult economic climate of the 90's, when value and efficientcy are important. Companies should concentrate on bringing in a younger generation of designers to their consultancies.
