Greenview Plantation in Prince George County, VA, is a house built in the 1730s, which is home to more than 2,000 waterfowl that include barhead and Andean geese and the Bronze Wing duck. More than 90 different kinds of birds from various countries reside in the plantation's aviaries.

The Bacon's Castle garden

Article Abstract:

Bacon's Castle located in Surry County, VA, is one of the oldest houses in the state having been built in 1665 by Arthur Allen. It has six major garden beds which have long been lost to rambling grass but were discovered after an infrared photography of the property in 1974.

Plimoth Plantation: early gardens of survival
