Oak Square, which was originally built in 1850, has been restored by architect William Douglas Lum, Jr., for his mother Martha Lum. The renovated building, which formerly consisted of only four guest rooms, has been converted into a 12-room bed and breakfast accommodation.

The China Grove Plantation was restored by Marie and Dr. Rodney Nelson after they purchased it in 1978. Its history dates back to 1803 when a portion was built by its original owner Willis MacDonald. The house serves presently as a bed and breakfast accommodation.
