Article Abstract:
Furniture designer Jasper Morrison designed three of the top collections exhibited at the Milan show, particularly Three Sofas, for Cappellini. Morrison's work is becoming more utilitarian and he aims to focus on higher volume products for consumer markets. Morrison attributes his attention-seeking forms and use of bold colours to instinct. Curves are almost always used somewhere in his designs. Morrison is pleased that he can now design unsensational things as he no longer needs to get noticed, with products now designed that can be more utilitarian than just aesthetic.
