Graceful greeting

Article Abstract:

A custom-designed reception desk for A.T. Kearney in Chicago, IL, by Perkins and Will designer Tim Cozzens reflects that Kearney's corporate philosophy by inviting communication. The reception desk is a sculptural focus of the firm's 98,000-sq-ft headquarters that uses forms and materials to draw the visitor's eye. Two different sized 'wings' of leather-upholstered plywood cover the desk and cant away at the center, exposing the steel structural support grid.
