Article Abstract:
Sun International chairman Sol Kerzner hired Wimberly Allison Tongand Goo (WATG) to design his Palace of the Lost City, based on his own researchand interviews. WATG employed a local team of laborers whom they trained in thenecessary skills for the construction of the palace. The architects faced some constraints due to the site's faraway location, the unavailability of some materials and cultural considerations. They solved these by developing their own manufacturing base and choosing design elements which were acceptable to the African tribes. The final design blended both American and African influences.

Article Abstract:
The newly-built clubhouse for a residential community in Bend, OR, tastefully blends with the surrounding scenery with its combination of wood, stone and copper. Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo designed the clubhouse to perch on the rocky prominence on the shores of a manmade lake, with glass walls taking full advantage of the view. Large stone boulders were incorporated into the interiors, which retain an organic atmosphere with the use of unpainted cedarwood planks.
