Ice cream has been a much-loved dessert since early times, with some accounts dating it back to the Chinese Tang dynasty in the 7th century. By the 18th century, iced desserts have become a popular confection and in 1851, began to be commercially produced by a dairyman from Baltimore, MD.

Jim Charles of Heritage Custom Kitchens found inspiration from the du Pont Dining Room at the Winterthur Museum in Wilmington, DE, in designing kitchen space for a client in Chicago, IL. Heritage adopted paneling styles from several period rooms in its new line of cabinets and millwork.
