Article Abstract:

Lashcon Pres Dorothy Lashmett decided to venture into the production of gift items and award mementos using recycled materials. The project was made more significant because Lashmett employed disabled workers for the production processes. Lashmett's first commission arose from her request that Amoco Corp donate its scrap marble to the project. In return, Lashcon was to design a line of awards and gifts for Amoco employees.
