A mid-18th century home in Newburyport, MA, had been restored to its original design after having been converted into a multifamily residence. To evoke the ambiance of the interior design of the period, color, furniture styles and furnishings were carefully selected.

The Dutch colonial farmhouse which was the former abode of aviator Amelia Earhart, who disappeared in 1937, is found in Westchester County, NY. A young couple with three children bought the house in 1992 and have restored the house's former colonial grandeur.

The rescue of Houndstooth Farm

Interior designers Frederick Root and Anthony Feo saved an early 19th-century New Jersey farmhouse from destruction when they bought it from a home builder. The farmhouse became their new office after they renovated the sagging floors and cracked ceilings.
