Article Abstract:
The 1992 Geneva Motor Show revealed that manufacturers are trying to link style and performance with concerns for safety, the family and the environment. Japanese vehicle manufacturers had a particularly strong presence with innovative designs, and they now have the technology to supply rounded forms to the mass market. All manufacturers are placing great emphasis on safety, and have come to realise that safety features play an important role in selling cars.

Article Abstract:
The International Motor Show entitled 'Cars and Character', was held between Mar 4, 1993 and Mar 14, 1993. There is now little to choose from amongst European cars, as manufacturers designs have converged to result in a standard model. This is because they are reluctant to take the risk of launching a model that fails. There may be a reaction against this progression, however, and cars will emerge with more individuality.

Article Abstract:
The Consumer Electronics Show was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center between Jan 7, 1993 and Jan 10, 1993. The exhibits were disappointing and uninspired, however, and all gadgets appeared to be matt-black in colour. The exeptions included Thomson's televisions, IBM's cellular telephone/ palm top computer.
