Peggy Brown writes the dialogue of Chip Tracer, the time-traveling cyberjournalist featured on Newsday's Comics on the News. She is proud to be the alter ego of a new breed of superhero who is both adventurous and interested in acquiring information. Although Brown tries to maintain the truth and explain it as best as possible, the comic format allows her to have a little fun with her imagination from time to time.

The Seattle Times anticipated social turmoil during the Nov 1999 conference of the World Trade Organization, but underestimated its magnitude. The newspaper's photo staff endured repeated assault to take the necessary pictures, as many as 90 images during the 5-hour daily edition cycle.
