Article Abstract:
Milford Chandler and Richard Pohrt's attraction with Indian lore inspired them to put up the Chandler-Pohrt Collection of American Indian artifacts. Of the 4,000 items in the collection, 152 objects done by Woodlands and Plains Indians are now on view at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.

Manhattan architect Ralph Harvard and other designers employed strong ornamental elements to convert the interior of the Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse in New York City into a showcase of traditional rooms. The project was to benefit the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club in the Bronx.

The late Philip Trammell Shutze was one of America's greatest architects who specialized in classical designs. He was outstanding both as a student and an architect during his younger years. His works show his perfect sense of proportion based on classic architectural ideals.
