Redesign consisted of expanding the building core to accomodate kitchens, coffee bars, supply rooms and other facilities. The plan centered on a grid ceiling pattern which was carried all throughout and which served as the core for the floor and wall designs. CRSS designed the offices following the open areas concept, but modified to allow for small coves to provide privacy when required.

Article Abstract:
Roundtable Press commissioned design firm HughesGroup to redesign its Manhattan, NY, offices at a limited budget. Hughes designers prepared an austere package based on the principle of maximizing space use. Roundtable executive offices were positioned along an arched window wall and separated with a partition to create private areas. The angled glass which was used to separate the executive offices from the general areas added to the illusion of space and allowed the passage of natural light.
