The excavations of the ancient Ceren village involved food and drink. The diversity and abundance of foods in the village are greater than expected, it also indicates the importance of sharing food and drink within the household, which held family together generation after generation.

A small field crew consisting of Drs. Fredrick Hiebert and Owen Doonan during the summer of 2000, in Sinop, Turkey where they were investigating ancient trade is discussed. The investigators consider Fredrick Hiebert to be the perfect spot for investigating in ancient trade.
