Archaeologist and author Brian Fagan believes professional ethics are of key importance to conducting proper, culturally sensitive excavations and research. He believes the World Archaeological Congress provides an important forum for obtaining insights on topics such as establishing relationships between archaeologists and indigenous peoples and promoting educational projects such as heritage tourism.
