Riddle of the emperor's cloak

Article Abstract:

The designs found on the robes of Aztec emperors reveal information about Central America's past. 'Codex Mendoza,' a sixteenth century document, has numerous pictures of Aztec emperors adorned in a variety of robes. An analysis of the designs found on these robes reveals their place of origin and their significance to the Aztecs.

Curse of the stolen cloak

Article Abstract:

The discovery of a tablet by the University of Leicester Archaeological Services while excavating a Roman townhouse in Leicester is discussed. The tablet had a verse engraved on it which was a curse for the person who would attempt to steal it.
