Article Abstract:
New insights on the famous Bounty mutiny of 1789 should result from the Pitcairn Project, an effort by Australian archaeologists to recover artifacts from the Bounty shipwreck near Pitcairn Island in the Pacific. Since Oct 1998, the team has uncovered cannon balls, sheathing nails, ceramics, and cannons. Study of these finds may shed light on the island's history after it was settled by the surviving mutineers and their Tahitian companions.

The bridge, built under Ottoman rule in 1566, had come to symbolize the dream of a multicultural Bosnia where Muslims, Roman Catholics, and Orthodox Christians could dwell in peace.
