Language in the Ice Ages

Article Abstract:

The study of the beginning and significance of human language is filled with controversy and debate. Archeological findings reveal that humans by the Upper Paleolithic period were fully modern biologically and in terms of behavior. Moreover, the symbolism in their art show that they had linguistic abilities as highly developed as that of modern humans. Hoever, archeological record provides scant evidence of the use of either language or symbolism.
