Article Abstract:

The amount of excavated artifacts increase even more and all of them need to be stored in a safe place, as the number of archaeological excavations in the US increase. A discussion on the functions of companies engaged in the business of cultural resource management (CRM) is presented.

An exhibition at New York City's Museo del Barrio on the Taino Indians is described, a West Indian native people who had colonized the whole area by the time of the arrival of Columbus and who were extinguished by European diseases and warfare.
