All that glitters is Scythian; a long overdue look at the treasures of Ukraine

Article Abstract:

An exhibition called "Gold of the Nomads: Scythian Treasures from the Ancient Ukraine" is described. The Scythian tribe originated in Central Asia in the first millennium BC and migrated into present-day Ukraine in the seventh century BC. Their burials rich in artifacts constitute one of the most complete material records of any nomadic people.

The World Atlatl Association (WAA) is an organization that promotes the uses and knowledge of the powerful prehistoric weapons and its use as a modern sporting device. According to the past WAA president Charlie Brown, the Atlatl is most powerful, but a cumbersome weapon system.
