Article Abstract:
Caral, an oldest city with complex of pyramids, circular plazas, staircases, and one of the largest in Peru covering 165 acres, is emerging as a focus of nasty disputes between scholars that threaten to dominate its significance. It is found that the site would be one of the most important archeological projects in Latin America, in future generations.

The efforts made by a four member team Project STAC (Severe Terrain Archaeological Campaign) headed by Ian McHardy, an archaeologist and rope-access specialist, to study the historic details of sea stacks scattered around the coast of Lewis island, are discussed.
