Article Abstract:
Engineering translates laboratory findings to materials, products or equipment useful to society. It is, therefore, necessary to consider the impact of the advances made in biotechnology on biological, mechanical and agricultural engineering to facilitate practical applications of scientific findings. The design of systems and equipment used in manufacturing, collecting and packaging bioresource products must keep abreast of the technological innovations in the production process. Necessary alterations on equipment must be made to adapt to the evolving products.

Article Abstract:
Agricultural biotechnology is an area of great investment potential, inspite of the biotechnology industry's mixed performance in 1991. Notable developments in the field have given the industry much opportunity, but the recession adversely affected the industry in the second half of 1991. Analysts are confident that agricultural biotechnology will bring success to companies specializing in the research, development and manufacture of bioproducts, especially genetically engineered pesticides and recombinant veterinary products.
