Article Abstract:
Models that predict biophysical interactions become indispensible tools for impact assessment of climatic changes on agricultural systems. Three limitations currently affect assessment studies: models for many crops are wanting, the range of validity of field-scale models is deficient, and present models lack components crucial to decision making. To comprehensively study systems, the horizontal and heirarchical model integration approaches may be employed in addition to data base development. Only with the development of new models can solutions to the climate change issue be made.

Article Abstract:
Agricultural biotechnology is an area of great investment potential, inspite of the biotechnology industry's mixed performance in 1991. Notable developments in the field have given the industry much opportunity, but the recession adversely affected the industry in the second half of 1991. Analysts are confident that agricultural biotechnology will bring success to companies specializing in the research, development and manufacture of bioproducts, especially genetically engineered pesticides and recombinant veterinary products.

Article Abstract:
The Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 grants power to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and state air pollution control agencies to strictly implement air pollution regulations. In Texas, regulation is done by permitting, enforcement, and rules and regulations. These processes would require agricultural engineers to take leadership in designing air pollution abatement equipment for use by the community.
