The Journal Register Co plans to build a $35 million newspaper printing facility in Uwchian, Chester County, PA, that is expected to start in the fall of 2001. Currently, the company owns six regional daily newspapers and 51 non-daily papers as well as the Trentonian and other newspapers in South and Central Jersey. The Journal Register aims to continue its fast growth by synergizing both its circulation and advertising through acquisitions that are within given locations.

Harrison Row, a new restaurant in the new Sheraton Rittenhouse Square Hotel in Philadelphia, PA, is named after the Italian Gothic Mansions that were constructed in the late 1800's on the same site of the restaurant. The new 75-seat restaurant, which caters to Philadelphia businessmen, opened on Jan 25, 1999. According to Executive Chef Tony Clark, who owns Harrison Row, the restaurant offers dishes that are prepared with a "soul food" or southern flare.

Philly TV news is working to overcome adversity. The company's General Manager Jim Sweeney has announced the new directions that the company is taking which include changing content to feature urban entertainment, live talk and local programs, hiring additional sales personnel and bringing their signal back to full power. The company's new lineup of content will probably be completed by Feb 1, 2001.
