Star Direct is recently created by Bruce Dworsky to provide consultation, product development and production for direct response marketing. Dworsky is a veteran in the direct response and production business. He recently served as director of development for Banyan Productions in Philadelphia, PA. He also worked at HSN Direct International Ltd. as the executive director of production. The new company is currently developing a number of long-form projects for CelMark International, and short-form spots for Direct-To-Retail and Micko Products.

Graphic News has stopped publishing the Guide Newspapers, which include the Kensington Guide, and similar editions for Bridesburg, Port Richmond and Fishtown. Former recipients of the publication in several months while telephone calls to through voice mail but are not returned. The company is also publishes the the Hospital & Healthcare News and the Next Generation periodicals. The publisher is H Robert Jacobs Jr, son of the publisher.

Philadelphia Newspapers Inc obtained the favor of Federal Court in a case involving its refusal to print advertisement from an apartment locator service. The Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News argued that they have a right to refuse the advertising because the publisher also offers apartment locator service and thus is a competitor to the advertiser. The company added that the refusal was based on its policy to reject competitor ads.
